Improve student wellbeing

Yoga & Mindfulness in Schools

Improve student wellbeing and learning outcomes at your school through a research-based yoga and mindfulness program that:
  • Provides students with skills to still the mind and develop confidence
  • Incorporates strategies to focus attention and improve concentration
  • Builds a culture of respect and inclusiveness
  • Encourages fun and creativity in the classroom
Research strongly indicates that yoga and mindfulness activities in schools is linked to improved social-emotional wellbeing, mental health, concentration, self-regulation and learning outcomes for students.
The Yoga and Mindfulness for Schools Program is NSW Curriculum aligned. It delivers yoga and mindfulness classes to students in schools and supports teachers to incorporate yoga and mindfulness into their classroom.
A collaborative research project is proposed with the University of Wollongong to study the outcomes of yoga and mindfulness on school students social and emotional well-being, mental health and learning. This Program has been in development collaboratively since 2016. A pilot program ran successfully at Scarborough Public School in 2017.
